Dr. Adam Lindsay is a board certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, fracture care, and shoulder arthroplasty (replacements). He understands the complexities involved in returning to pre-injury levels of activity and believes in the crucial role of a compassionate and expert surgical team in this process. His goal is to provide each patient with the utmost respect, clinical expertise, and surgical precision to facilitate their return to active lifestyles.
A native of the Lake Tahoe, California region, Dr. Lindsay was a Division 1 water polo athlete at UC Davis that competed on an international level. He earned his medical degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia and completed his orthopedic surgical residency at the University of Southern California, a premier Level One trauma center on the West Coast. Following his residency, Dr. Lindsay pursued a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Colorado, where he developed a deep expertise in managing complex shoulder and knee pathologies. His training included advanced skills in arthroscopy and both primary and revision shoulder arthroplasty. Additionally, Dr. Lindsay has extensive experience in fracture care, particularly for athletes.
His professional accolades include serving as the team doctor for the NHL’s Colorado Avalanche and the University of Colorado Buffaloes, which further honed his skills in sports-related injuries. He has contributed to the field through multiple book chapters and articles and has presented at numerous national conferences. He is an active member of the American Shoulder and Elbow Society, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, the Orthopaedic Trauma Association, and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Dr. Lindsay is an avid adventurer. He enjoys spending time with his wife Rachelle, daughter Addison, son Everett, and their dog Khione. His personal interests include mountain biking, surfing, and skiing—both on slopes and the backcountry — and is working on improving his golf game.
